Cole 2.0

No, we haven't replaced Cole with a newer model (though we do reserve the right to add to our collection). He just turned two.

It's been forever and a day since we've updated kellobowitz.net. We've been having lots of fun and doing lots of solid growing up, but we've also been crazy busy. Ann is working on her final push to get her tenure case together, and I've been commuting to work, about an hour and a half each way every day. When we get some down time (Cole is asleep right now) we usually use it to crash rather than blog.

As regular readers of the blog will know, Cole's birthday, otherwise known as The Day Everything Changed, is May 17. We visited his GP's in New Jersey to celebrate the event.

Here's the big guy with his cake:

Cole did some other fun stuff while we were in New Jersey, such as playing with blocks with Grandma and Grandpa

and even feeding birds at the Turtle Back Zoo

It seems that Cole has really gotten a taste for cake as a result of his and his friend Katie's birthday party, so we also made another one together when we got back to California. This is what that project looked like:

Speaking of Katie's birthday, here's a nice one of the two kids and the two mommies:

Other than that, we haven't gotten around all that much lately, but we have been able to make it to the playground, and even to a picnic at China Camp.

This one even has daddy, who is normally invisible:

More pics from the May-ish timeframe are available here.

Okay, so long. We'll try to get back to the blog again soon.
