Cole Winslow Jacobowitz, our beautiful baby boy came into the world today, May 17, 2008 at 8:51am. Cole weighs 8 lbs 5 oz and is 21 inches long. He is perfectly healthy and strong, possessing the standard complement of fingers and toes, and as far as we are concerned, he is the cutest little baby, ever.
Mommy and Daddy are both utterly exhausted after a labor that lasted nearly 31 hours from first contractions to delivery. Well, Daddy can only imagine how Mommy feels. What I do know is that I am in complete awe of the strength of Ann's focus, determination, and love. Despite the herculean effort, Ann is happy, relaxed, and recovering well.

Hey Ann and David,
Congratulations to you both -- he's beautiful! AND huge! (My oldest son weighed the same and was only slightly longer -- he's now 6'5", so watch out...)
Take care of yourself, Ann, and don't overdo it these first few weeks: sleep when he does, and let others worry about food/house/laundry. Your rebound will be that much quicker if you do.
